Difference of seamless steel pipe, welded steel pipe, spiral steel pipe and galvanized steel pipe
|Seamless steel pipe is a strip of steel with hollow section and no joints around it. Seamless steel tube is steel pipe without seam, hot rolling or cold drawing process molding. It is characterized by good pressure.
|Welded steel pipe is also called welded pipe. It is a steel pipe made of steel plate or strip after being crimped and welded. It can be divided into straight seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe. For example: Roll a rectangle of white paper into a tube. The edges are then welded together to make straight welded steel tubes. If rolled up obliquely and then welded, it is spiral steel pipe. The production process of welded steel tube is simple. High production efficiency, variety specifications, strength is generally lower than seamless steel pipe. Generally, over 800mm is the welded steel pipe, welded with steel plate. This is decided by domestic current craft level.
Characteristics of SSAW steel pipe: Straight welded pipe production process is simple, high production efficiency and low cost. The strength of spiral steel pipe is generally higher than that of straight welded steel pipe. It is capable of producing larger welded steel tubes from smaller billets. The blank of the same width can also be used to produce welded steel pipes with different diameters. However, compared with straight seam tubes of the same length, the weld seam length increases by 30-100%, and the production speed is lower. Therefore, the welded steel pipe with smaller diameter mostly adopts straight seam welding pipe, while the welded steel pipe with larger diameter mostly adopts SSAW steel pipe.
|Galvanized steel pipe is galvanized on the surface of the steel pipe. The inner and outer surfaces are coated with zinc to resist corrosion. Galvanized steel tube can be seamless steel pipe or welded steel pipe, whether it is welded steel tube or seamless steel tube can be galvanized into galvanized pipe.
